Performance Electrical Contractors, LLC is an electrical contractor based in Conyers, Georgia. Performance mostly serves the Atlanta/Metro Atlanta area but has been known to travel as far as Birmingham, AL, Destin, FL, and Columbia, SC to care for a client’s needs. Our company comprises some of the top talent in the electrical industry as our employees are trained through the IBEW and the Atlanta Electrical JATC. We provide services to some of the Atlanta area’s top commercial and industrial facilities.

President:

Sarah Benefield

Sarah holds a Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from The University of South Carolina Upstate. From 2015 to 2016, she taught 6th and 7th grade Math in a middle school. She later moved to an elementary school, where she was responsible for teaching 4th-grade Math, Social Studies, and Science from 2017 to 2023. In the summer of 2022, Sarah decided to switch careers and joined Performance Electrical as a controller. While she completed her final year of teaching in 2022-2023, she worked part-time assisting the controller. In 2023, Sarah purchased the company and is the standing President of Performance Electrical Contractors, LLC. Along with managing all aspects of the company’s accounting department, she also ensures that the company’s financial health is maintained, and the company’s growth goals are met.

Shane Benefield

Shane has been working in the electrical industry since 2003. He completed a 5-year apprenticeship program through the AEJATC in 2010. Shane has gained experience as a Service Technician, Foreman, and Project Manager throughout his career. He currently holds a Non-Restricted Electrical Contractor License and Low Voltage Contractor License in the state of Georgia and is a Level 1 Thermographer. Shane’s main responsibilities include managing the company’s day-to-day operations and overseeing business development.

Operations Manager/Estimator:

Bill Jeter

Bill has been working in the electrical industry since 2008. In 2013, he successfully completed a five-year apprenticeship program through the AEJATC. Throughout his career, Bill has gained extensive experience as a Service Truck Technician, Foreman, and Project Manager. Additionally, he holds a Level 1 Thermographer Certification and an OSHA-30 Certification. Bill is responsible for overseeing the estimating department and assisting with the company’s day-to-day operations.

Service Manager:

Todd McGahee

Todd has been in the electrical industry since 2008. He completed a 5-year apprenticeship program through the AEJATC in 2017. Todd has experience as a Service Truck Technician, Foreman, and Project Manager. He also holds a Level 1 Thermographer Certification and a OSHA-30 Certification. Todd’s current responsibilities are managing the companies Service Department. 

Project Manager:

Dustin Dunlop

Dustin has been working in the electrical industry since 2013. In 2019, he successfully completed a five-year apprenticeship program through the AEJATC. Throughout his career, Dustin has gained extensive experience as a Service Truck Technician, Foreman, and Project Manager. He also holds an OSHA-30 Certification and additional certifications in EV Charger installations and Fiber installations. Currently, Dustin is responsible for managing the company’s service department and contract projects.

Project Manager:

Joey Nalley

Joey has been working in the electrical industry since 2014. In 2019, he successfully completed a 5-year apprenticeship program through the AEJATC. Joey has gained extensive experience as a Service Truck Technician, Foreman, and Project Manager throughout his career. He also holds an OSHA-30 Certification. Joey’s primary responsibility is overseeing the company’s contracted projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and on time.
